Hello friends!
And welcome to the new, relaunched website. Hope you like the design! Today we’ve got big, exciting news to announce. Thanks to the hard work of my agent Danielle Burby at the Nelson Literary Agency, my middle-grade fantasy adventure Nadya Skylung and the Cloud Pirates will be published by Putnam Children’s (an imprint of Penguin Random House) in spring 2018. That’s a long ways away, and there’s lots still to be settled in terms of the final product, but I’ve spoken with the editor and am incredibly excited about her vision for the book. It’s going to be absolutely beautiful, and the story, well…the story’s something I’m incredibly proud of already.
More details to come, but in the meantime, here’s the deal announcement:
Jeff Seymour’s NADYA SKYLUNG AND THE CLOUD PIRATES, the first in a series pitched as Howl’s Moving Castle meets Keeper of the Lost Cities, in which a ragtag group of orphans, each with a special talent, serves as the crew of a flying ship and must save the day when their captain and teacher are kidnapped by a fearsome band of cloud pirates, to Katherine Perkins at Putnam Children’s, in a two-book deal, by Danielle Burby (World English).
